About our school ...

Claines CE Primary School Factfile ...

  • Claines is a Church of England primary school situated on the outskirts of Worcester in a semi-rural setting. The school is housed in a Victorian building with additional more modern extensions. The older children's classes are within the Victorian building.

  • The school is well equipped with a separate music room where we are able to offer a variey of additional music lessons to children. We are also lucky enough to have a well equipped ICT suite for the children to use on a regular basis.

  • We are an eco-friendly school and have been given a Silver award for our efforts toward saving energy in school, recycling and composting. We have an Eco-committee made up of children, staff, parents and govenors from the school who discuss issues and ideas to save energy in school.
  • We also have a Healthy School award which recognises our promotion of exercise and healthy eating.

Breaking News!

  • In 2008 we were recognised for our outstanding work towards the arts (art, music, drama and dance) and were awarded an Artsmark Gold. In September 2008 we are developing this artistic contribution further by adding special art lessons to the curriculum which will be taught by an artist in residence .
